Our Story

Smarter Solutions Strategy was built to help founders grow without being trapped by the operations behind the business.

We help established businesses replace manual, disconnected, time-consuming processes with systems that create clarity, efficiency, and room to scale.

This business started with a simple realization: many companies are not held back by demand or vision. They are held back by the way the business runs behind the scenes.

Smarter Solutions Strategy exists to fix that.

How It Started

The inspiration came from watching a successful business hit a ceiling.

Before starting Smarter Solutions Strategy, I was working in corporate software, helping design systems for a trading platform. Around the same time, my wife was trying to scale her already successful business.

The demand was there. The opportunity was there. But behind the scenes, the systems were in chaos. There was very little automation, too much admin, and too much of the day was being spent just keeping things moving.

Growth felt harder than it should have, not because the business lacked potential, but because the operational foundation underneath it was not built to support the next level.

Once I stepped in to redesign workflows, connect systems, and remove as much unnecessary manual work as possible, the difference was immediate. The business became easier to run. Leadership got time back. Scaling no longer felt like rebuilding the plane mid-flight.

That experience led to a bigger question: how many other businesses were dealing with the same thing?

What Shaped Our Thinking

Long before consulting, the lesson was the same: the right systems create leverage.

Structure Under Pressure
As a lifeguard on the ocean through high school and college, I worked alongside retired Navy SEALs. In that environment, structure and protocol were not optional. When someone is struggling in the water, there is no time to figure things out from scratch. You follow the system.
Operations With Real Stakes
Later, while running operations for a fleet of oil tankers, the same principle held true. Established workflows did not just improve efficiency. They protected people, reduced risk, and influenced decisions that could swing millions of dollars in either direction.
Technology That Amplifies People
Working in software and product development reinforced another key belief: technology should not replace people. It should amplify them. The right tools give teams better visibility, clearer metrics, and the ability to make stronger decisions with less friction.
What We See Repeatedly

Many growing businesses are running on workarounds that were never meant to last.

Most founders do not start a business because they want to spend their days managing spreadsheets, chasing details across platforms, or manually filling in the gaps between disconnected tools.

But that is exactly where many businesses end up. They grow, they add services, they introduce new software, and they create temporary solutions to keep everything moving. Then those temporary solutions quietly become the operating system of the company.

  • Critical information lives in spreadsheets instead of structured systems
  • Manual processes are still carrying too much of the business
  • Tools for sales, operations, accounting, and marketing do not communicate well
  • Leadership has limited visibility into performance, capacity, and what should happen next
  • Founders spend too much time keeping the business afloat instead of leading it forward

We work best with established companies that know they can grow, but need the systems behind the business to catch up.

Our Approach

We start with the goal, then reverse engineer the systems to get there.

Technology can absolutely make a business more complicated when it is implemented poorly. More tools do not automatically create a better business. In many cases, they create more noise.

That is why every engagement starts the same way: we first try to understand the goal state. In a perfect world, what would the business look like? How should it run? What should leadership be able to see? Where should time be spent?

From there, we work backward. We identify what needs to change, what should be prioritized, which systems should talk to each other, and where automation can create real leverage.

The result is not just a cleaner set of tools. It is a business that is easier to operate and better positioned to grow.

Why We’re Different

We are not here to hand you a report and walk away.

Many consultants diagnose the problem, make recommendations, and leave the implementation to the client.

That is not our model.

We help clients understand what needs to change, and then we help install those changes. Our work is not about creating a presentation. It is about transforming the operations of a company into a platform it can actually scale on.

1. Understand the current state
We review how the business runs today, where the bottlenecks are, and what is creating unnecessary friction.
2. Define the ideal future state
We clarify what better looks like so decisions are anchored to the real goal, not just the latest tool or trend.
3. Design the right systems and workflows
We map the structure, priorities, automations, and operational changes required to support growth.
4. Implement and refine
We put the work into the business so the recommendations become real, usable systems.
Who We Work With

A strong fit for established businesses ready to improve how they operate.

Our clients do not all come from the same industry. The common thread is that they have built something real, they have consistent revenue, and they know the business needs operational change to reach the next level.

  • Businesses that have been operating for a few years and have a solid foundation
  • Companies with repeatable services or repeatable internal workflows
  • Founders and operators who know they need to make a change and are open to it
  • Teams that want to streamline the business without lowering the standard of service their clients expect

Our core areas of work include:

  • Operational system design
  • Automation and workflow development
  • Strategic consulting tied to implementation
Client Perspective

What this work feels like on the other side.

“Having Smarter Solutions guide my team has freed up my headspace, and optimized everything (which was a lot) that was falling through the cracks. I have been able to step back into the stuff I should be doing, instead of getting so lost in the weeds and overwhelmed. Can’t recommend them more.”

Founders should not have to carry the “boring” part of growth alone.
